Job summary

Community Youth Services - Pierce County seeks compassionate individuals to join the New Directions Crisis Residential Center in Tacoma as Associate Counselors for youth aged 12–17, providing a safe haven and essential guidance.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, counseling, meal planning, daily activity coordination, intake assessments, and individualized treatment planning to empower youths toward stability and success. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Two years of education and/or direct experience with at-risk youth.
• Six months’ prior experience as an Associate Counselor in a similar facility.
• TB test results within the last 12 months or ability to obtain a negative result within 30 days of employment.

• Competitive Pay: $21.12 to $27.08 per hour

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years of education and/or direct experience with at-risk youth.
• At least six months’ prior experience as an Associate Counselor in a similar facility.
• Valid TB test results within the last 12 months or the ability to obtain a negative result within 30 days of employment.

3. Hold a valid Washington State Driver's License with at least five years of driving experience and a good driving record for the past three years.
