Job summary

Andy's Statewide Heating & Air Conditioning, part of American Residential Services (ARS), is seeking an HVAC Install Mechanic for new construction projects. You will perform all stages of installation from layout to start-up, read blueprints, and ensure correct system placement in coordination with builders and project managers.

You will also train apprentices and uphold safety codes and ARS standards. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of HVAC installation or new construction experience, EPA

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of HVAC installation or new construction experience.
• Completion of HVAC trade training or equivalent experience.
• EPA certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong familiarity with local codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform all stages of HVAC installation in new construction, including layout, ductwork, piping, wiring, finish, and system start-up.
• Read blueprints and coordinate with builders, contractors, and project managers for correct system placement.
• Cut, assemble, and install ductwork, chimneys, copper piping, drain lines, and exhaust systems.
• Set and install HVAC units, air handlers, thermostats, and control systems.
• Wire main power lines and ensure code-compliant electrical connections.
• Start up and test HVAC systems to verify proper function, pressures, and air flow.
• Train and support assigned apprentices on the job.
• Ensure installations meet safety codes and company standards.
