General Profile

The candidate will work in a Technology group that collaborates with Process teams to develop design requirements for RF and power delivery systems for etch processing chambers. The applicant should use best practices and industry knowledge to improve products or services, primarily focusing on RF and bias systems. Responsibilities include solving complex problems with broad business impact, leading project teams, participating in design reviews, validating designs, testing modules, selecting components, and writing technical documentation. The candidate will also learn to operate plasma etch tools, the AMAT Product Development Life Cycle, and Project Management. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Run tests in the lab to assess power delivery performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform feasibility studies for improvements.
  2. Develop and implement solutions for complex product issues and engineering challenges.
  3. Lead or execute engineering projects and research new technologies.
  4. Identify and troubleshoot complex engineering problems.
  5. Perform engineering analyses of scope and specifications.
  6. Interface with internal and external customers regarding electrical issues and high-value problems.
  7. Generate product specifications independently.
  8. Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering tests.

The salary offered will depend on location, experience, skills, and internal equity. Candidates may also be eligible for bonuses and stock awards. For sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) including base salary and bonus.
