Position Overview:
The Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (CF) will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to gain clinical experience and refine their skills in evaluating and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate to receive mentorship and support while developing expertise in a school setting.

Position Overview:
The Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (CF) will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to gain clinical experience and refine their skills in evaluating and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This is an excellent opportunity for a new graduate to receive mentorship and support while developing expertise in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and provide therapy for clients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and therapy sessions.
  • Participate in supervision sessions and clinical meetings to review cases and receive feedback.
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Clinical Fellow (CF) status or eligibility.
  • Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or in the process of obtaining.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development.
  • CPR certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • RPE license may be needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or externship experience in a clinical setting.
  • Experience working with a diverse client population.
