Qualifications

• Two to four years' experience in business, underwriting, or related field.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• Review and issue new business accident, critical illness, disability, hospital and life products including coding applications into the system.
• Verify state compliance forms, agent contracting issues, and benefit information and riders.
• Communicate with brokers and sales via email, phone and written correspondence; document status actions on cases.
• Research underwriting requirements, state requirements, and product guidelines; determine eligibility.
• Assemble policies and letters for mailing; process policy changes, endorsements, and ownership arrangements.
• Provide customer service internally and externally via department channels.
• Review lapsed cases for reinstatement; handle retuned mail; assist with special projects.
