Responsibilities
  • Prospect and research potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach
  • Qualify leads by understanding the needs and interests of potential clients, and set appointments for Account Managers
  • Build and maintain relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events
  • Manage and track sales interactions and progress towards monthly and quarterly goals in the CRM system
  • Collaborate with the sales team to improve lead generation strategies and stay informed about industry trends
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales, event management, or customer service
  • Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and relationship-building capabilities with clients and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
  • Proven leadership qualities and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
