Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of proven successful sales experience in retail or territory sales, event management, and customer service.
  • Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Customer Relationship Management tools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including oral presentation skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers, superiors, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach.
  • Qualify prospects by understanding their needs and set up appointments for Account Managers.
  • Establish rapport with educators to emphasize the value of Scholastic Reading Events.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system and track progress toward sales goals.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to improve lead generation efficiency and refine sales techniques.
