Responsibilities
  • Research and identify potential school and district partners, initiating outreach through calls, emails, and social media
  • Qualify prospects by understanding their needs and set up appointments for Account Managers
  • Build relationships with educators and administrators to emphasize the value of Scholastic Reading Events
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and track progress toward sales goals in the CRM system
  • Collaborate with the sales team to improve lead generation strategies and enhance sales techniques
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail or territory sales, event management, and customer service
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Sales Automation and Customer Relationship Management software
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with peers, superiors, and customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
  • Proven leadership abilities and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
  • Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
