What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Research and identify potential school and district partners, initiating outreach through calls, emails, and social media
- Qualify leads by assessing their needs and interests in hosting Book Fairs, and set appointments for Account Managers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with educators and administrators, highlighting the value of Scholastic Reading Events
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress in the CRM system to meet monthly and quarterly sales goals
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance lead generation strategies and improve overall sales effectiveness
What is Required (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales, event management, or customer service
- Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation and Customer Relationship Management tools
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with customers and team members

- Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Proven leadership abilities demonstrated in previous roles
- Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy execution
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments
