Responsibilities
  • Research and identify potential school and district partners, initiating outreach through calls, emails, and social media
  • Qualify prospects by understanding their needs and interests, setting up appointments for Account Managers
  • Establish rapport with educators and administrators, emphasizing the value of Scholastic Reading Events
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system, tracking progress toward sales goals
  • Collaborate with the sales team to improve lead generation efficiency and refine sales strategies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales
  • Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation or CRM systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with peers and customers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
  • Proven leadership abilities and qualities in previous roles
  • Experience in event management or personal selling
