Responsibilities
  • Research and identify potential school and district partners, initiating outreach through calls, emails, and social media
  • Qualify leads by understanding the needs and interests of prospects, setting appointments, and passing qualified leads to Account Managers
  • Establish and maintain relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events
  • Track progress toward monthly and quarterly sales goals and maintain accurate records in the CRM system
  • Collaborate with the sales team to improve lead generation strategies and stay informed about industry trends
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail, district/territory sales, event management, or customer service
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management software
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with customers and team members
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
  • Proven leadership abilities and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
  • Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy execution
