What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and identify potential school and district partners, initiating outreach through calls, emails, and social media
- Qualify leads by understanding the needs and interests of potential clients and setting up appointments
- Build and maintain relationships with educators and administrators, highlighting the value of Scholastic Reading Events
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and track progress toward sales goals in the CRM system

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail, district/territory sales, or event management
- Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation or Customer Relationship Management tools
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including effective presentation abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues

- Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Proven leadership abilities and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
- Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
