The Law Offices of Maximilian A. Stovall in Reno is seeking an attorney to join our office.

Our practice is broad, focusing on civil litigation, criminal defense, and appellate work, with emphasis on finding a good lawyer and a good fit for our office. Attorneys have substantial responsibility for their own cases, including client communication, case strategy, discovery, negotiations, substantive motions and briefs, hearings, depositions, and trial or appellate preparation.

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the Nevada Bar, or eligible for admission.
• Ability to manage an ordinary case from start to finish.
• Strong writing, judgment, and client communication skills.
• Organized, proactive, and capable of independent work.

Responsibilities

• Manage an individual caseload with attorney and staff support.
• Directly communicate with clients and participate in case strategy.
• Draft substantive motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions when appropriate.
• Appear in Nevada state courts.
• Handle negotiations and dispute-resolution proceedings.
• Prepare cases for trial and appeal.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and cover hearings when needed.
