Quantum Machines invites a Product Research Physicist to own the control of neutral-atom platforms, from analog perspectives to large systems implementing quantum error correction. The role shapes requirements, architecture, and delivery of advanced control solutions that meet experimental needs.

The candidate will engage with customers, partners and the neutral-atom community to ground the roadmap in real requirements and emerging directions in the field.

Qualifications

• PhD in quantum physics or closely related field is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Hands-on experimental background with neutral-atom systems is preferred.
• Self-driven, highly organized with strong time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end understanding of neutral-atom control requirements across state prep, gating and readout.
• Characterize analog signal chains and real-time control flow for qubit platforms.
• Define scaling from few qubits to large systems with QC error correction in mind.
• Translate insights into product requirements and reference architectures.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware and software teams to shape delivery of control solutions.
• Validate solutions via modeling, simulation and experimental benchmarks.
