The Valley Hospital-Paramus, part of Valley Health System, is offering a nine-month Interventional Technologist Fellow program for Radiologic Technologists. This structured fellowship develops skills to support Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, or Neurovascular Interventional Lab with mentorship and hands-on experience.

Requirements include NJ licensure, ARRT certification, BLS, ACLS within the fellowship timeframe, and completion of educational requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
• Ability to learn advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and practices.
• Physical dexterity to operate imaging equipment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in stressful, rapidly changing procedural environments.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Fellows function as members of the interventional team while progressing through an educational pathway toward independent practice.
• Participate in classroom education, simulation, and preceptorship to develop procedural competency.
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures under supervision.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure patient safety and quality care.
