Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

PIH Health and House Clinic Associates is seeking a Neurotology/Otology Physician with the ability to manage hearing and balance, cochlear implants and lateral skull base disorders in children and adults. The position includes inpatient and outpatient responsibilities working with an interdisciplinary team of audiologists, fellows and neurosurgeons.

SPECIFIC SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Demonstrated expertise in otologic and neurotologic conditions.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the temporal bone, CSF otorrhea, facial nerve disorders, vestibular and balance disorders, and all forms of hearing loss and tinnitus in adults and children.
  • Excellent surgical skills.
  • Knowledgeable regarding all aspects of scope of practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Independent performer.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree or equivalent, be board certified/eligible in Otolaryngology, and have or be eligible for a California medical license.
  • Completed an accredited ACGME fellowship in Neurotology and be Board certified or eligible for certification in Neurotology by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
