Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in North Carolina seeks a fellowship-trained Neurotologist to join the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. This full-time faculty role offers a 50:50 split between patient care and dedicated research time with tenure/tenure-track rank.

Clinical duties include management of complex ear, hearing, vestibular disorders, and related tumors, with opportunities for teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration across UNC Health.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of ACGME-approved Neurotology fellowship.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in North Carolina.
• Board certified in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery.
• Board eligible or board subspecialty certified in Neurotology.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for patients with complex otologic and lateral skull base disorders.
• Engage in ongoing research, including cochlear implants outcomes research.
• Contribute to teaching and mentoring of residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Collaborate across departments and UNC Health in multidisciplinary care teams.
