Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Surgical Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our neurosurgery team in Vernon, CT. The role includes 1st Assist in cranial and spine procedures and clinic work, with mentorship and a strong patient-centered approach.

You will work with experienced practitioners in a well-established program that emphasizes excellence, safety, and professional growth within Hartford HealthCare’s neurosurgery services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA/NP master’s program preferred.
• Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, in Connecticut.
• Certification or eligible for national board certification as an APRN.
• RNFA certification required for APRN role.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st Assist in cranial and spine procedures in OR and clinic.
• Collaborate with neurosurgery team and other advanced practitioners.
• Contribute to established practice with patient-centered care.

Advanced Providers Role Scope

We have a growth opportunity for a Surgical Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice RN (APRN) who will enjoy:

• Unique, 1:1 training with neurosurgeons
• Growth and development- Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) program including the use of High Intensity Focus Ultrasound (HIFU) treatment for movement disorders
• Both clinic and OR time (1st Assist) for cranial and spine procedures
• Working with a team of advanced practitioners with an abundance of Neurosurgery experience
• Established practice and staff who take time with their patients

Shift

Full Time four 10-hour shifts, M-F. Hours may vary dependent upon case load. No call requirements, no weekends.

Qualifications
