Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Neurosurgery- Spine in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a skilled Advanced Practice Provider (PA/ACNP) to deliver comprehensive care for neurosurgical spine patients and participate in team-based treatment.

You will perform exams, order tests, manage pre- and post-operative care, prescribe medications, and contribute to research and education. This role offers competitive compensation, CME support, PTO, and strong career growth in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program; ACNP/PA requirements vary by licensure.
• BLS certification is required to start; NCCPA certification or NC license where applicable.
• DEA and DPS registrations are required to start and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient examinations and evaluations.
• Determine patient care plans using medical decision-making.
• Collaborate with medical team for team-based care.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging; explain procedures to patients.
• Involve in basic science/clinical research projects; precept learners.
• Uphold mission, values, and cultural commitments.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
