Job summary

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our neurosurgery team. The PA will perform evaluations, assist in preoperative and intraoperative care, and support postoperative management for complex neurological and spine cases.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with one weekend per month on call; outpatient clinic twice weekly; and a competitive salary ranging from $118,000 to $128,000.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physician Assistant in Illinois or eligible for licensure.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant.
• Surgical First Assist certification required.
• Experience in Neurosurgery preferred.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
• Commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations for neurosurgery consults.
• Assist in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative neurosurgery care.
• Surgical first assist in neurosurgery cases.
• Outpatient clinic weekly.
• 5 days per week with one weekend per month of neurosurgery call.
• Weekend call coverage with Attending, one weekend per month.
