Job summary

Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant for the Neurosurgery service. The PA provides pre-, peri-, and post-operative care under the supervision of the attending surgeon, participates in trauma response, daily rounds, and education of medical students and staff.

The requirements include graduation from an AMA-accredited PA program, New Jersey licensure, CDS/DEA, BLS and ACLS certifications, with ATLS to be obtained within the first year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Licensed by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners.
• CDS, DEA, BLS and ACLS certifications; ATLS within first year.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-operative, operative and post-operative patient care under supervision.
• Responds to trauma patients and participates in daily rounds.
• Assists in neurosurgical procedures and informs on-call neurosurgeon.
