Baptist Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Neurosurgery Clinic to work under a collaborating physician. The NP will take histories, review records, perform exams, diagnose and initiate therapy, and arrange admissions as directed.

The role requires an MSN and active NP licensure (ANCC/AANP) with at least 2 years of related nursing experience, and involves hospital rounds and patient guidance as part of the care team.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing degree required.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license required (ANCC or AANP).
• Minimum 2 years of related nursing experience.

Responsabilités

• Take complete, detailed histories and review patient records to develop medical status reports.
• Perform physical examinations and diagnose, institute therapy including drug therapy.
• Institute emergency measures and arrange hospital admissions/discharges as directed.
• Possibly complete hospital rounds and provide guidance on medical care matters to patients.
• Perform duties within the scope of practice as delegated by collaborating physician.
