Job summary

Crouse Medical Practice in Syracuse, NY is seeking a full-time Neurosurgery Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to work 8:00am–4:30pm, days, in a hybrid OR setting. Under physician supervision, you will handle histories, exams, tests, treatments, and patient education, delivering high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current NY State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and establish a leadership role in an emergency.
• Demonstrated knowledge of health promotion, health risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of a broad range of medical services under physician supervision, including taking histories, conducting exams, ordering diagnostic tests, administering treatments, monitoring patients, and prescribing medications.
• Assist physicians and counsel/educate patients; collaborate with the physicians in the hybrid OR suite for surgical needs.
