Job summary

Northwest Primary & Specialty Care in Tucson seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care and clinic operations under supervision. You will assist with procedures, prep exam rooms, manage intake, and ensure smooth clinic workflow.

The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program (preferred) and 0-1 years of experience; Basic Life Support certification is required. Dental, vision, and life insurance, PTO, 401(k) with match, and licensure support are part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with non-invasive medical procedures and take vital signs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms before visits.
• Handle patient intake, report test results and triage calls.
• Review daily logs and maintain documentation.
• Support administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, and verify insurance eligibility.
• Maintain an organized workload and provide courteous, prompt service.
• Monitor and requisition supplies and equipment.
• Educate patients on medications and diets.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
