Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a Neurosurgery specialty office in Hartford, CT. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, at least six months of related experience, and an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting; CMA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six months related work experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance preferred; CMA certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms and patients for examinations.
• Obtains pertinent history and records information in the medical chart.
• Documents vital signs and clinical notes in the patient record.
• Processes lab results and clinical notes after physician review.
• Coordinates patient flow and supports front office tasks as needed.
