Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I-Neurosurgery to assist in daily clinical research activities. You will collect and record study data, obtain informed consent, and maintain study documentation in accordance with hospital procedures.

You will support grant applications, ensure regulatory submissions (IRB/Grants & Contracts), ship specimens as needed, and help screen participants for eligibility under supervision, enabling high-quality research in neurosurgery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science or closely related field.
• No experience required. One year of research experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects and records study data. Inputs all information into database.
• Obtains informed consent under minimal supervision and educates participants regarding study requirements.
• Assists in activities related to clinical research studies including screening participants for eligibility and registering subjects with sponsor.
• Assists in preparing grant applications, IRB/GCO submissions and filings.
• Maintains source documents and subject files per hospital procedures; ensures accurate data through chart reviews.
• Secures, delivers and ships clinical specimens as required by the protocol.
• Performs other related duties.
