Job summary

Dignity Health's Pacific Central Coast Health Centers seeks a Neurosurgery NP/PA to manage patients with neurological disorders, providing comprehensive neurosurgical care in both clinic and OR settings. You will perform consultations, inpatient rounds, assist in surgery, and deliver patient education and counseling.

Preferred candidates have at least 2 years in Neurosurgery and hold a California NP/PA license with current certification, ready to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current and unrestricted California license and certification.
• First-assist surgical experience in clinic and OR settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform neurosurgical consultations and round on inpatients.
• Assist in surgery and support both surgeon-led and independent clinics.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients; order and interpret tests; prescribe medications.
• Provide extensive patient education and counseling.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Neurosurgery NP/PA, you will help patients suffering from neurological or neurosurgical disorders manage their acute and chronic conditions so they can achieve better health through comprehensive, high-quality neurosurgical care.

Every day you will perform neurosurgical consultations, round on inpatients, assist in surgery, and support both surgeon-led and independent clinics. You will be expected to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide extensive patient education and counseling.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the clinical training to perform neurosurgical evaluations and the collaborative skills to work effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient, patient-centered care.

Job Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current and unrestricted California license and certification
• First-assist surgical experience and comfort in both clinic and OR settings

Preferred:

• Minimum of 2 year experience in Neurosurgery strongly preferred
