Job summary

Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, IL, is hiring a Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join a multidisciplinary neurosurgery team. The APP will work in inpatient and consultative settings, supporting care across cranial, spinal, trauma, and complex neurological cases.

Expect 12-hour rotating shifts with 1:4 weekend, 1:4 call rotations, and collaboration with neurosurgeons and nurses in a fast-paced environment focused on high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Active PA license in state(s) of practice is required.
• Active PA national board certification (NCCPA) is required.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire.
• Illinois practice requires an Illinois Controlled Substance License prior to hire.
• BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required prior to or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage treatment plans for neurosurgery patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies; prescribe interventions as appropriate.
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document accurately in the EMR; ensure compliant coding/billing.
• Participate in quality, safety, and education initiatives.
