Job summary

CarePoint is seeking a Full Time Neurosurgery APP to join our team across Greeley, Fort Collins, and Denver. The role involves clinic work, OR assistance, and on-call duties to support our neurosurgery and related services.

The ideal candidate will have a PA or NP degree, surgical assist certification if NP, and an active DEA license with BLS. Expect teamwork in a fast-paced environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and computer skills with a teamwork mindset.
  • Neurosurgery and/or Orthopedics surgery preferred.
  • Must have graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • MUST HAVE SURGICAL ASSIST CERTIFICATION IF YOU ARE AN NP.
  • Current and unrestricted DEA license.
  • Current BLS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Neurosurgical care to adult patients in various settings (ED, ICU, trauma, medical floors).
  • In clinic, see new patients, follow-ups, post-ops, with or without images.
  • Independently work up patients for surgical plans to review with the surgeon.
  • Assist in urgent bedside procedures and be First Assist in OR.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team and support patient care.
  • Provide on-call coverage in rotation with other PAs.

Job description

We have a Full Time Neurosurgery APP position available with locations in Greeley, Fort Collins, and Denver. We provide full-service neurosurgery departments with acute hospital care, along with outpatient clinics.

Locations:

  • Fort Collins - Banner Medical Center

Schedule:

  • M-F with clinic and first assisting in the OR
  • Rotating one in three weekends on call

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Neurosurgical care to adult patients
  • Provide care for patients in a variety of settings including ED, ICU, trauma and medical floors, pre- and post- operative management, and clinic
  • In clinic, must be comfortable seeing new patients, follow ups, post ops, and patients with/without images
  • Must be able to work up patients for surgical plan independently to review with the surgeon
  • Responsible for assisting in urgent bedside procedures
  • First Assist in OR
  • Collaborate and support entire clinical team in supporting our patients
  • Provide on call support in rotation with other PAs

We are offering a base salary starting at $140,000, plus a daily call stipend, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills and computer skills as well as be able to perform all tasks with accuracy, is a team player, and has a positive attitude. In addition, we are looking for the following:

  • Neurosurgery and/or Orthopedics surgerypreferred
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • MUST HAVE SURGICAL ASSIST CERTIFICATION IF YOU ARE AN NP
  • Current and unrestricted DEA license
  • Current BLS
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
