Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a spine and/or cranial focused general neurosurgeon for a full-time, permanent role on the SGMC main campus in Valdosta, GA. The position includes a 1:3 call schedule, weekend coverage, and participation in a Level III Trauma Center.

All surgeries are performed on-site, with a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits program. The ideal candidate is BC/BE by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, eligible for Georgia licensure, and experienced with

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in neurological surgery.
• Eligible for unrestricted Georgia medical licensure.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide spine and cranial focused neurosurgery.
• Participate in 1:3 call shift, including weekends.
• Work at SGMC main campus in Valdosta, GA.
• Engage in hospital-based employment with potential for cranial case involvement.

Position Description

• Full-time, permanent position
• Call is 1:3, includes weekend call
• Neurosurgery clinic located on SGMC main campus
• Level III Trauma Center
• All surgeries performed on main campus
• Hospital based employment, shared call and interest in cranial cases is preferred
