Job Summary

Geisinger's Neuroscience Institute is seeking a spine-focused neurosurgeon to join our growing practice in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Job Duties

We are looking for a neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive and/or complex spine surgery. The candidate will join a collaborative team of two neurosurgeons with expertise in complex and deformity spine surgery. Available technology includes the Medtronic O-arm and stealth navigation, with established workflows for anterior, lateral, and posterior approaches. The candidate should be motivated to expand our capabilities and enhance patient access and choice in the region.

The neurosurgeon will be part of a diverse faculty covering vascular/endovascular, neuro-oncology, skull base, stereotactic, and functional neurosurgery. General neurosurgery call coverage, including cranial and spine trauma, is required.

Our institute offers innovative clinical protocols, a 20-year data warehouse, and a population genomics program. We operate in four hospitals with hybrid operating rooms supporting stroke care.

Position Details

Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)

Experience: Relevant neurosurgical experience preferred

Certification and License: Licensed Medical Doctor in Pennsylvania
