As the only neurosurgery group on Cape Cod, the practice enjoys a wide variety of cases and an excellent referral base. The flagship hospital where the group operates and maintains admitting privileges is in Hyannis, MA. It is a 260-bed hospital with state-of-the-art equipment including two Stealth image-guidance systems for cranial and spinal surgery, an O-arm, two Leica microscopes and intra-operative neuro-monitoring.
The practice is supported by a formalized critical care department who staffs and maintains a presence within the intensive care unit 24 hours a day. The hospitalist system is robust. Additionally, the group is supported by a comprehensive cancer center affiliated with Dana Faber Cancer Institute that includes medical and radiation oncology. The Neuro-oncology tumor board meets biweekly.
