An established industry player is seeking a dedicated faculty physician to provide exceptional care in pediatric neurosurgery. The faculty physician is responsible for the care of patients in the hospital and clinics, as well as research, educational, and advocacy initiatives as determined by the Division Chief and/or the Center leadership.
Our ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in both endovascular and pediatric neurosurgery.
Minimum Education
Medical Doctor (M.D.) from an accredited medical school. (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Knowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in the area of expertise. Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for medical care. Ability to evaluate patient problems independently and develop care plans. Ability to discuss ethical concepts with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to supervise and train clinical professionals and students. Commitment to ongoing medical education and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Required Licenses and Certifications
Fully licensed and credentialed attending staff physician at Children's National Medical Center. Board certified or eligible for certification in primary practice. (Required) Secondary specialty certification (Preferred).
Demonstrate organizational commitment through customer focus, teamwork, problem-solving, cost management, and safety practices.
