Northwest Indiana Health System in Hobart, IN, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon to join its physician-led group. This role offers a high-volume surgical practice with a state-of-the-art hospital and full EPIC EHR integration featuring AI enhancements.

You will perform cranial and spine procedures, participate in a shared call rotation, and collaborate with neurologists and other specialists to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a US medical school or international equivalent (MD/DO).
• Completed ACGME Neurological Surgery residency; board certified or board eligible.
• Indiana medical license active or eligible within 90–120 days.
• Experience in general neurosurgery and/or subspecialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide cranial and complex spine neurosurgical care across settings.
• Perform evaluations, workups, and elective or emergent procedures.
• Participate in an equitable call rotation with the team.

Location: Greater Chicagoland Area / Hobart, IN | Schedule: Full-Time, Permanent, On-site | Compensation: Base salary negotiable based on MGMA guidelines, paired with a high-yield wRVU productivity bonus structure

Overview

An established, highly regarded healthcare system in Northwest Indiana, just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon to join its growing, physician-led group practice. This role offers a high-volume surgical practice, state-of-the-art hospital infrastructure operating at HIMSS Stage VII with full EPIC EHR integration featuring modern AI functionality, and strong professional backing within a financially robust, collegial health system.

What you'll do

• Provide comprehensive cranial and complex/general spine neurosurgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical suite environments
• Conduct clinical evaluations, patient workups, and perform elective and emergent neurosurgical procedures
• Participate in an equitable, shared neurosurgery call rotation
• Utilize advanced surgical technology, intraoperative imaging, and EPIC EHR with AI-driven documentation enhancements
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including neurologists, orthopedic spine surgeons, pain management specialists, and critical care teams
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and optimal patient care pathways

Required qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO)
• Successfully completed an ACGME-accredited Neurological Surgery residency program; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery
• Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license (or eligible for state licensure within 90–120 days)
• Demonstrates high clinical and surgical competency in general neurosurgery and/or subspecialty fellowship areas (e.g., spine, vascular, skull base, neuro-oncology)
• Open to H-1B applicants who meet all federal requirements and possess an unrestricted Indiana medical license
