The Neuroscience Sales Specialist is responsible for exceeding sales targets ethically within their territory. They identify customer needs, align marketing resources, support pull-through activities, and embody Intra-Cellular’s mission to improve lives affected by neuropsychiatric disorders.

This role requires developing in-depth product and disease knowledge for clinical engagement with healthcare professionals, creating strategic and tactical local plans, managing resources effectively, and controlling budgets and expenses within their territory.

Job Responsibilities
  • Drive sales performance ethically by engaging with HCPs and community centers both in-person and virtually, ensuring forecast achievement.
  • Use budgets effectively to meet territory goals, tailoring discussions to customer needs ethically.
  • Maintain current knowledge of local markets, practice structures, and influencers, sharing insights internally.
  • Contribute to resource allocation decisions, selecting appropriate programs/resources for each customer or practice.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Business Manager to develop local business plans that meet objectives, leveraging formulary approvals and business opportunities.
  • Share best practices and collaborate with other specialists.
  • Manage administrative tasks accurately, including work hours, sales data, and expense reporting.
  • Build business plans based on customer needs, resources, and products.
  • Complete all required training timely.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' sales experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical devices; 3+ years in specialty pharmaceuticals preferred.
  • Experience with launch, antipsychotics, or bipolar disorder highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, valid driver’s license, and safe driving record.
  • Passion for patient care, high integrity, self-motivation, decision-making skills, and ability to collaborate.
  • Proven ability to adapt to evolving environments, including virtual and telemedicine settings.
  • Strong analytical skills for data assessment and opportunity identification.
  • Experience building customer relationships and communicating technical info to diverse audiences.
  • Flexibility for meetings outside normal hours, travel within territory, and periodic travel to headquarters and training.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions with or without accommodation.
