Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) invites applications for a Research Technician I in the Jazayeri Lab at MIT. The role splits roughly 50/50 between animal care and wet lab responsibilities, supporting non-human primate work and neuroscience experiments in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's in Neuroscience or Psychology and 0–2 years of related experience, with comfort around animals and strong organizational skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, or a closely related life sciences field.
• 0–2 years of research experience as a Research Technician or in a comparable role.
• Comfort working with non-human primates on a regular basis.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Animal Care (~50%): daily husbandry, feeding, welfare monitoring, chamber cleaning, behavior observation, surgeries support, MRI procedures under supervision.
• Wet Lab (~50%): prepare materials, sterilize equipment, maintain lab safety, support environmental health and safety inspections.
• Record and collect data; collaborate with researchers and other technicians; contribute to ongoing projects.
