Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Department of Neurology seeks a Research Associate to contribute to planning, design, execution, and management of neurodegeneration research within the NeuroMAP program. You will develop study goals, design experiments, conduct advanced techniques, and analyze data while coordinating across research pillars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 3 years relevant experience with associate's degree, or 1 year with bachelor's.
• Prior experience in clinical/translational neuroscience research operations preferred.
• Experience with biospecimen handling and data systems like REDCap is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage research projects in neurodegeneration and translational neuroscience.
• Develop and refine methodologies, experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytics.
• Coordinate NeuroMAP operations and cross-functional collaboration; establish controls and SOPs.
• Assist in grant proposals and prepare manuscripts, reports, and conference presentations.
• Oversee lab activities, equipment maintenance, and biospecimen workflows; supervise staff and students.
