Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks a Research Associate to contribute to planning, design, execution, and management of neuroscience research projects, including neurodegenerative disease studies and translational neuroscience.

You will design experiments, perform advanced molecular techniques, analyze data, and assist in grant proposals while coordinating across NeuroMAP pillars to ensure operational readiness and collaborative success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3 years of relevant experience with an associate’s degree, or 1 year of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Background check required; pre-employment physical/drug screen may be requested.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret research data.
• Assist in developing and refining methodologies, sampling techniques, and analytical approaches.
• Support research operations and coordination across NeuroMAP initiatives.
• Prepare manuscripts, reports, and abstracts for conferences.
• Contribute to grant proposals to secure extramural funding.
• Maintain SOPs, inventories, and workflows for NeuroMAP activities.
• Coordinate activities for postdocs, students, and staff; supervise equipment testing and biospecimen workflows.
