Job summary

The Ohio State University’s Neurology Department seeks a Research Associate to contribute to planning, design, execution, and management of research projects in neurodegenerative disease and translational neuroscience.

You will collect and analyze data, refine methods, coordinate across NeuroMAP initiatives, review literature, and support grant proposals and SOPs to advance the research mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3 years of relevant experience with an associate’s degree, or 1 year of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree.
• Requires successful completion of a background check.
• Pre-employment physical, including a drug screen, may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret research data.
• Assist in developing and refining methodologies and experimental designs.
• Coordinate NeuroMAP activities and establish research standards and controls.
• Review scientific literature and support manuscripts, reports and conference presentations.
• Assist in preparing grant proposals to secure extramural funding.
• Coordinate lab activities and supervise staff and students.
• Oversee routine maintenance and testing of lab equipment.
• Facilitate collaboration across NeuroMAP pillars and ensure study readiness.
