Job summary

UTHealth Houston's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences' Houston Psychosis Research Center is seeking a Research Assistant I to support brain imaging, neural modulation, and biomarker research aimed at understanding schizophrenia, depression, and other psychiatric conditions.

Under supervision, you will learn cutting-edge clinical and behavioral research tools, maintain labs, collect data, and assist investigators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; may substitute with equivalent years of experience.
• No prior experience required.
• General knowledge of research fields.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform laboratory experiments to support research objectives.
• Collect, organize and prepare research data for investigators.
• Maintain clean laboratory equipment and work area for safety.
• Order laboratory supplies as directed by senior staff.
• Coordinate the work of technicians when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
