Job summary

Inova Neuroscience Research invites applications for a Neuroscience Postdoctoral Research Fellow. This full-time role (30 hours per week) is based in Falls Church, VA and emphasizes career planning, professional development, and hands-on lab work.

The Fellow will train others, present seminars, and collaborate on grant applications, publications, and innovative neuroscience projects under experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• MD, PhD or equivalent degree required.
• At least 1 year of human, translational and basic neuroscience research experience.
• BLS certification for MD candidates only (if required by role).

Responsibilities

• Participates in educational workshops such as developing grant applications, preparing research publications, and writing research proposals.
• Gives presentations at meetings, conferences, and seminars and participates in research seminars.
• Selects a specific research project and conducts it semi-independently under mentorship.
• Assists in preparing analytical methods/results for publication and presentations at meetings.
• Contributes to grant applications for service line projects.
• Leads or contributes to large projects and collaborates with investigators.
• Meets regularly with mentors and research managers to discuss progress and resolve difficulties.
• Protects and promotes technologies and products through publications and conference presentations.
