Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a postdoctoral research scientist with expertise in Neurosciences to support our Neuroscience Faculty in advancing EEG, epilepsy, and brain network research.

You will work closely with Epileptologists, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons and researchers, mentored to ideate, develop and complete a year-long project, and present findings at conferences. Publication in peer-reviewed journals is encouraged within a year.

Qualifications

• PhD or MBBS required; Neuroscience training preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Proficient with MS Office/Google Suite tools.

Responsibilities

• Ideate, develop and complete a year-long research project related to EEG, epilepsy or brain networks.
• Collaborate with Epileptologists, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons and researchers on interdisciplinary projects.
• Present a research abstract at year end and attend at least one national conference.
• Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals within a year of completing the fellowship.
• Mentor research students and research assistants as directed by the Laboratory Director.
• Monitor and review video EEG and routine EEG under supervision; review intracranial EEG studies as needed.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
