Job summary

Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary, part of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a Research Assistant to support a neuroscience laboratory with mice, tissue processing, and molecular analyses.

Under direct supervision, you will perform experiments, prepare buffers and reagents, and assist in data interpretation and reporting. A bachelor’s degree in neuroscience or related field and wet-lab experience are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, genetics, biology or a related discipline is required.
• At least six months of wet-lab experience is preferred.
• Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable per policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory experiments following established protocols.
• Prepare and handle samples, reagents, and solutions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, conducting routine calibration and troubleshooting as needed.
• Record experimental data accurately and maintain organized records of procedures, protocols, and results.
• Compile and analyze data using appropriate statistical and analytical methods.
• Assist in data interpretation and presentation, contributing to research findings and reports.
