Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Neuroscience Intermediate Care Unit on the day shift. The role offers a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for experienced RNs and a full-time, day-shift schedule.

The IMCU RN will provide skilled nursing care for neurosurgery, epilepsy, stroke and other neuroscience patients, collaborating with neurosurgeons and neurologists, and participating in a residency program for new graduates.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN (Preferred).
• Virginia RN License Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible.
• All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
• Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care in Neuroscience IMCU using nursing process.
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons and neurologists to deliver patient care.
• Support residency program and training for new graduates.
