Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is seeking an Experienced RN for the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit in Akron, OH. You will provide expert direct nursing care to neuro patients recovering from strokes and neurosurgical procedures.

The role requires 1+ year ICU/stepdown experience, RN licensure, BLS and ACLS within the first year, CVVHD training and TNCC within one year, and TCAR certification within 24 months. Night shift, full-time with relocation and loan repayment options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required? (assessed by ADN/BSN)
• 1+ year of current stepdown/ICU/critical care RN experience or 1+ year of acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
• Current RN license in the state
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required within the first year of employment
• CVVHD training completed and TNCC certification within one year
• TCAR certification required within 24 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to NSICU patients.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for neuro ICU patients.
• Complete ongoing assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Develop and update goals with patients and families.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary plan of care and advocate for patients.
• Administer treatments and medications and document care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes.
• Delegate tasks and serve as resource for the team.
• Review progress and discharge goals with patients and families.
