Vanda Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: VNDA) is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing novel therapies to address high unmet medical needs and improve patients' lives. We seek a Neuroscience District Sales Manager to join our innovative and dynamic sales team and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives every day.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the DSM will lead, coach, and manage a team of 8-10 Neuroscience Account Managers. This role involves driving strategic initiatives and executing strategies within their district, which includes 8-10 territories across one or more states. The DSM will achieve business results through effective cross-functional collaboration with Sales Leadership, Medical Affairs, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 4 years in Sales Management preferred.
  • Experience in CNS, psychiatry, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or other specialties preferred.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing specialty sales teams.
  • Track record of high sales performance and leadership.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet industry credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and facilities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Residency near a major airport within the district.
  • Flexibility and effectiveness in an innovative work environment.
  • Experience in small companies or startup environments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.
