Responsibilities

• Develops and manages department budgets in collaboration with physician partners, finance, and leadership.
• Ensures appropriate 24-hour staffing based on patient acuity, staff competency, and the diverse needs of the patient population.
• Guides process improvements using research and evidence-based practices. Supports a Shared Governance model to advance care delivery and outcomes.
• Fosters a culture of accountability, professionalism, and patient-centered care through consistent policy implementation and staff engagement.
• Interviews, hires, and onboards new staff. Evaluates performance, recommends promotions, addresses disciplinary issues, and provides ongoing coaching and development.
