Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Neurosurgery clinic at the Saint Luke's Plaza location. This full-time day position requires MO and KS RN licensure, BLS, and at least 1 year of relevant experience, with no nights or weekends.

In the clinic, you will provide nursing care, perform triage, coordinate patient flow, and educate patients. You may cover related office duties as needed in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience preferred in Neuroscience or clinic settings.
• Active RN license in MO and KS.
• Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards.
• Perform telephone triage, manage patient flow and coordinate care.
• Schedule emergent appointments and educate patients and families.
• Delegate tasks to staff based on competencies and scope of practice.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for patient education, assessment and documentation.
• Enter admission orders as directed by the provider.
• Manage expired samples and related clinic tasks.
• Work well in a team and autonomously when needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a professional demeanor.
