Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists at UVA Health support patient care, education, and research across diverse populations. Work with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and fellow technologists to deliver accurate, timely imaging that informs diagnosis and treatment decisions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS include graduation from a JRC radiography program, ARRT RT certification, AHA BLS, and a Virginia driver’s license if required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited JRC program in Radiography.
• Associate's Degree in Radiography preferred.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification required; AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
• Valid Virginia Driver's License may be required.

Responsabilités

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations using established protocols to ensure image quality, patient safety, and diagnostic accuracy.
• Prepare, position, and educate patients to support comfort, cooperation, and optimal imaging outcomes.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring adherence to radiation safety standards and departmental quality guidelines.
• Apply clinical judgment to adapt positioning and technique based on patient condition and clinical indication.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and care teams to support timely interpretation and coordinated care.
• Contribute to a collaborative department culture that values professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Associate's Degree in Radiography
