Job summary

NeuroHealth Arlington Heights seeks a full-time Neuropsychological Testing Technician to administer tests for children, adolescents, and adults in the northwest Chicago suburbs. Office-based in Arlington Heights, you’ll work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Bachelor’s in psychology required; Master’s preferred. You’ll contribute to testing, reporting, and family communication while participating in supervision and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field required; Master’s in Clinical Psychology strongly preferred.
  • Interest in psychological and neuropsychological assessment and report-writing skills.
  • Experience with children, adolescents, and adults in clinical or educational settings.
  • Ability to administer standardized tests following structured procedures.
  • Strong documentation and workflow management skills.
  • Commitment to ethical, culturally sensitive assessment practices.
  • Willingness to participate in supervision and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

  • Administer psychological and neuropsychological tests to children, adolescents, and adults
  • Score and organize test data for provider review
  • Assist in the development of written reports under supervision

Compensation for this full-time position is commensurate with level of training and experience.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Administer psychological and neuropsychological tests to children, adolescents, and adults
  • Score and organize test data for provider review
  • Assist in the development of written reports under supervision
  • Conduct structured behavioral observations during assessment sessions
  • Support clinicians working within a systems-based, patient-and-family-centered practice model
  • Communicate professionally with families, schools, and healthcare providers as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and assist with caseload management
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or a related field required; Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology strongly preferred
  • Strong interest in psychological and neuropsychological assessment, with motivation to develop advanced testing and report-writing skills
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in clinical, educational, or related settings
  • Ability to administer standardized psychological and neuropsychological tests following structured procedures
  • Solid observational skills, including the ability to document behaviors and testing responses accurately
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, including timely scoring, documentation, and workflow management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinicians, families, and community providers
  • Comfort working within a systems-based model, including coordination with schools, healthcare professionals, and other community organizations
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Commitment to ethical, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based assessment practices
  • Willingness to participate in supervision, ongoing training, and team collaboration
  • Tuesdays & Saturdays required workdays
